Training that Employees Should Receive in the Workplace

 

1) Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training

Employers must ensure that all their employees receive training covering basic occupational health and safety topics.

 

2) Training in temporary and fixed-term jobs

 Employees in temporary and fixed-term jobs should be given the necessary training informing them of the risks of the work they will be doing.

3) Fire Training

Employers must ensure that all employees receive training on fire incidents and fire protection.

 

4) Job-Oriented Specialized Training

Employees using work equipment must receive training on the risks that may arise from the use of this equipment and ways to protect themselves from these risks. Furthermore, employees must receive adequate specialized training on the inspection and maintenance of work equipment.

Employees and their representatives with specific health and safety responsibilities must receive specialized training.
